Accommodation
Where to stay
There are two good ways to approach this: stay close to the venue, or base yourself in London and travel out on the day. Whichever you choose, please book early and pick a flexible or free-cancellation rate where you can.
Option 1: Stay in London and travel out
If you’re flying in and want to make a trip of it, staying in north London works really well. The Thameslink line runs from Kentish Town and West Hampstead straight to Radlett, the nearest station to the venue, so it’s an easy journey on the day. North London is also great for pubs, walks on Hampstead Heath and exploring the city before or after the wedding.
The Bull & Last, Highgate (££–£££)
This is where we had our engagement party, so it’s close to our hearts. It’s a much-loved pub right by Hampstead Heath with a handful of rooms upstairs. There are seven air-conditioned bedrooms, each named after a local historical figure, and the food is excellent. Rooms go fast, so book early. Kentish Town station is a short walk or cab away for trains to Radlett.

King’s Boutique Hotel, Hampstead (££)
Individually designed rooms above the King William pub on Hampstead High Street, a short walk from the Heath and about a minute from the Tube.
Near King’s Cross / St Pancras
If you’d rather be central, anywhere near St Pancras is ideal. Thameslink trains to Radlett leave from there every 15 minutes and take about 28 minutes.
Option 2: Stay close to the venue

A few tips
Taxis can be harder to find late at night out here, so if you’re staying locally, pre-book your ride home or share with others at your hotel. If you’re staying in London, check the time of the last train back from Radlett. Weekend engineering works on Thameslink are also worth checking before you travel.
